Sign in attempt prevented

YAHOO
Hi mr,
Your account is currently not enabled to sign in from apps that do not meet modern security standards (ex. Older versions of mail and calendar apps such as Outlook). As a result, we prevented a sign in to your Yahoo account (narrongs).
Date and Time: November 18, 2017 6:55:41 PM PST Location: Russia (IP Address: 95.191.1.232)
We strongly recommend that you switch to Yahoo's apps such as Yahoo Mail on desktop and mobile and remove your account from all other less secure apps.
If you still want to use an app that uses less secure sign in, go to https://login.yahoo.com/account/security#other-apps and turn on "Allow apps that use less secure sign in". This is not recommended and may leave your account more vulnerable to compromise. To learn more, please visit our help page: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN27791.html.
Yahoo blocked this sign in attempt, but if it looks suspicious to you or it's not from an application that you're using, go to https://login.yahoo.com/account/change-password and change the password for your account.

[DIY] Ceiling "hooks" in roof of screened in porch

We are staying in a mobile home with an attached screened in porch.  The porch ceiling looks like white plastic planks about 10 feet long.  Pushed between the planks are metal tabs with holes that have been used in the past to support hanging lamps etc.

Does anybody know what holds these in place?  I would like to remove and replace but I will settle for just moving some along their panel seams.

Re: [DIY] Air Vent

Thanks John,  I think you are right, since the only "air space" is the upstairs commode, and the waste is being pulled up into that.  The drain is located downstairs with no access to vent it through the roof.  I've read these Oatey vents are designed for places like this - remodels where venting through the roof isn't possible.  Since everything worked fine with a trap and a 6' vertical pipe in it — which I suspect was to let air in to avoid the problem below, I think I'm going to remove the cap, put a trap back on, a short vertical piece higher than the drain pipe, then the oatey vent. This was the same company, but not the same plumber, who did the original work.  He was here to repair/replace the shower problem without tearing out the walls and did a great job.  Since the original work was out of warranty, I assume he wanted to please us, save us money, was working fast, and didn't think through why it was there in the first place.

Re: [DIY] RE: Air Vent

We are in the process of down-sizing our life style and will be having a new tiny home built by a Mennonite group.  In keeping with their normal construction techniques I suspect it will be tight to a fault and pressure differences might become a problem.  Our one saving grace is t hat we are also having a new lagoon built so that sewer gasses will not add to the situation.  I am also doing  the plumbing myself on-sight and will install the main vent as close to the final outlet as possible to try and achieve pressure balance.  It would be impractical to install a vent at each drain and then tie them all together at a common point, although this would be the better solution.  My main concerns are the washer and the walk-in tub, which can both expel water at a high rate.  Since all of the plumbing will be installed within the floor joist space, later corrections will be impossible.

Hi Jan,

I was hoping that Dale of someone else more familiar with plumbing issues would comment.

Clogging issues are just as likely to be caused by pressure building up ahead of the waste flow. This is often indicated by wastewater backing up through other fixtures. An air admission valve will do nothing to help in that case.
