[DIY] Re: Which is first?

 

I would definitely paint first. If you refinish the floor first, you may get splatters of wet paint on the finished floor.  If you paint first, you may get sanding dust on the walls when you do the floor, but it's just dry dust that will come off easily.

[DIY] Which is first?

 

No ... this is not the egg/chicken problem.  

We are refurbishing an apartment and getting to the point where we'll be painting and refinishing the floor.  If we paint first, we'll get stuff on the walls from the sanding. If we refinish first, we might mess it up with the painting and moving the ladder and equipment.  

So ... which do we do first?  Bear in mind, this is not just one room, but two rooms and a hall.

I would try water first. Then vinegar if that doesn't work.

Like wrap a towel tightly around the bottom of the bucket, and keep it saturated with water / vinegar…

There is an old 3 gallon crock stuck on the cement floor on my mom's
basement floor. It has been there for years. I have no idea what ever
caused this.

Any suggstions on what I could soak it with that might break the stucktivity?
