Re: [DIY] FYI from the Moderator:

It has bee one H---- of a summer and we are taking turns getting away.  I'm going to AZ and then on to south Texas to visit several aged relatives.  My wife will go and spend a couple of weeks with one of our daughters when I return.  We didn't want to kennel the two dogs for such a long period, but this way we will each have a get away time.  She will get her stuff done while I'm gone and I will get mine started while she is away.  The grand kids wanted granny to go to their football games, and I'd just a soon watch paint dry, so this is a win win for all concerned, except I'll have to eat my own cooking.

Re: [DIY] replacing interior doors

Unless the doors are extremely heavy, two hinges should be enough to hold them. Is it possible to just remove the third hinge? This would be a quick solution if that can be done without it looking bad.

Good Luck...Larry

my house was built in the late fifties. the interior doors are not the nice solid type due to raising 2 kids the doors need to be replaced. my husband bought 6 new doors off friend year later went to hang and here is our problem. the doors arent wood which is fine however they have 3 sets of built in hinges our old frames have 2 sets. hubby says addind hinge #3 to old frame cant be done because of material door is made of and removing 3rd hinge from new door wont work because they wont line up. hellllpppp. the old doors are horrible. should i sell new six in yardsale and star over. im a cheapo depo kinda girl but i want it to look good. lol. sorry so long. thanks
