Simple Solution is an animal product that can be purchases from some of the larger pet stores. It is used full-strength and is good at removing barf-stains of pets.

Where are the stains? Carpet? Peroxide will often remove old stains but depends on where they are. Cat pee or vomit? Big difference.

Can't help with your question re testers but have you thought about checking with your electric company to see how much the increased usage actually was? i.e., how many more watts did you use over this same time last year - or even last month. Did you have a longer/colder than normal freeze (like we did) so they were running almost constantly. Are they on the same outlet, maybe it's bad. The two times we've had a big increase was when we had a rate change and the other time the meter was faulty so they adjusted the bill.
