[DIY] CO detectors.

My A/C guy and I have an difference of opinion on an important question: where should CO detectors be placed?  The registers are on top of the wall.

I say that they should be up since the CO would be hot initially and detected there first.  He says that since CO is heavier than air, it should be near the floor.  Naturally, one in each place would be great, but only one would be first to go off, so to keep the cost down, I would prefer to just place the CO detector there.

What do you guys think?
