Next Steps: The Evolution of Yahoo Groups (Final Notification)
01 December 2019
[DIY] File - Group Reminder
This is a monthly reminder of the rules and charter under which this group
operates and its members participate.
1. Commentaries on Religion, Politics, Race, Gender or Sexual
preferences and the use of Profanity have no place on this list and
can and will almost certainly result in the offenders banishment.
2. Otherwise you are pretty much free to say what you think, but please
"Think before you Speak" and we must refrain from inflammatory comments
no matter how tempted we might be. If you must respond in some
otherwise inappropriate manner, we have no control over what goes on
off-line.
3. CIVIL disagreement however is allowed and even encouraged in cases
where the advice given or the expressed intended actions of a member
may result in extensive damage to personnel or property.
But Please keep it CIVIL.

Re: [DIY] File - Group Reminder
I've converted several groups from Yahoo to Google. I did not see anyway to transfer the history. I just left the Yahoo group live and locked it out for posting.

At io, you can have a membership for free if you don't have files or photos.Mike Taglieri

Re: [DIY] Re: File - Group Reminder
How can a group owner know how large of files etc they have?
Joyce aka Mom aka Joycie
Off topic, but is this group going to move to groups.io? Most of the other Yahoo groups I belong to are doing that, since Yahoo Groups is circling the drain and gradually shutting things off. Groups.io charges $220 to move a group automatically and give you room for files and photos, but if you don't need the room and are willing to move manually, it's free.Mike Taglieri
