I was unsure about the placement: does the Air Admittance Valve go before or after the P-trap, or does it matter? I asked the guy at Lowe's who I know was a darn good plumber (at least he hasn't steered me wrong yet) and he said it doesn't matter. Still, I'm thinking that it might. I have a DeWalt Plumbing Code Reference book and though the picture shows it after the P-trap, there is no statement to say what is mandatory. Any ideas?
