Roof now covered in bright shiny clean reflective
2" foam board from RMAX, 27 a sheet, 48 sheets
fastened with 3" deck screws and fender washers
15 deg f delta between insulated roof and uninsulated roof
area during preliminary tests of 10 sheets.
WOW is all I gotta say...and it is only R13
total project with new asphalt, tar, flashing and Rmax
came on at $3200 for 1500 sq ft roof (15 square)...I figure
$2 a sq ft is pretty good DIY savings...esp since quotes came
in at $16,000 average/
Rich and Kate...and two screw guns and 3000 deck screws and washers!
