Rust and stain removal products containing hydrofluoric acid are "industrial strength" effective (and must be treated with extreme caution). I've used a product called Rust Away in the past and it would remove build-ups that limeaway would not touch. If you want to get information on chemical contact, look up the material safety data sheet (aka MSDS) for the product.
