Thanks so much for the response to my question about exterior paint and the differences in grades.
We are delighted with the sprayed application of the Smart Paint! No thinning, applied with a 017 tip and went on smooth as butter!A little more than what we anticipated but the outcome is terrific.
I have gained more insight into painting and we spent one whole day prepping the shed with caulking, putty and covering windows and doors.
No wonder I got poor response from painters when I told them it was a new structure; I never realized how much time it took to properly get it ready for paint.
We bought a 400 Titan airless sprayer and it was a jewel to work with. We saved some money doing it ourselves and still have the sprayer for all the other jobs
on painting the outbuildings and staining a deck.
The satisfaction in doing our own work without cutting corners keeps us working even when we're beat.

The use of any paint product comes down to the simple fact -does the person
using the product feel comfortable with it.....There are people still, out there,
who love Dutch Boy Paint because their father or grandfather told them that
it was the best paint in the world.....(Dutch Boy was manufactured by the
US Lead Company - the paint is lead-less these days.).....People buy what
they like and trust in food, auto service, clothing, etc....When a Brand no longer
has customers it goes out of business......As Archie said, " the DeSoto ran
great".....Glidden, Dulux, Valspar, Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, True Value,
and countless hundreds of other independent small paint manufactures......
Buy what YOU are happy with......Pumps
