I'm running a new laundry line. It'll be a 2" run for just under 20 feet before it gets to the 3" main.
Here's the situation: the vent I want to run is going out the side of the house but it'll be from the standpipe before the water gets to the P-trap. Personally, I don't see a problem with that but venting usually comes from the other side of the P-trap. Does anyone know if that method is not up-to-code?
