if you've ever been to an old construction site, you can find particle board and osb that's been laying around for quite a while. it's not fit for any structural use, but it just doesn't decompose. you might cut it in very little pieces and get it down, but don't count on it.
there's just too much glue to break down.
i'm sure there are those that think it's good for some purposes, but i avoid it like the plague.
