I'd just about that there is a pump for each apartment and yours is not working. No that is not a normal procedure that I ever heard of.

The boiler is working. Its a co-op apartment.
I seemed to have it working a little this morning. I kept the valve open slightly and it seems like it is drawing the warm air through. I had heat in 2 of the 3 this morning. On the 3rd, i opened it a little more and the next time the boiler went on, the heat came through.
I'm wondering if this is correct procedure with these types of radiators. I never did this with cast iron radiators.

All I have ever seen were meant to bleed air out of the system. Are you sure your circulation pump is working if there isn't any air in the system?

Hi Experts.
Can somebody please advise me on how to use the end valve on the baseboard heating system? Im talking about the valve you use to bleed the system.
During winter use, should that valve be open? Closed? Turned just a hair? From what I understood, Im supposed to give it a quarter turn? Sometimes water shoots out. But if I have it closed, nothing gets hot.
I am perplexed….
Thank you.
Frank
