Hi Debbie;
There are very effective flexible plastic plumbing snakes,
that are about 2ft long with barb hooks on the sides and a
finger loop at the end. They work really well and sell for as
little as a couple of dollars. Though they are often sold in
multiples they actually last a long time before the barbs get
dull or break off. ..Another advantage to this type of drain
snake is they can generally be fed down many sink drains
past the stopper. They are really easy to use. We use one
every few months on our tub and bathroom sink drains..
