If there's room at all in the front yard, a ramp or new stairs could be made. If they are lower income, they may qualify for home modifications through the county btw. Cathy

How about overlaying some concrete paint with sand in it? It will make the surface rougher and will have better surface grip. If nothing else see if a landscaper can give you some ideas.
I need to install some sort of walkway on a steep driveway for my elderly parents. I thought about installing rails, but someone will probably just knock them over backing down the driveway. I was thinking about installing some thin stairs down the middle of the driveway. does anyone have any experience with that?
