Re: [DIY] ? about plywood floor in trailer

>We are in the process of buying a trailer with a plywood floor. It got wet in a certain point and the owner changed out the soaked plywood for a better piece. I just wonder, though, if there is some kind of sealant that can be put over the plywood floor to make it less porous? I want to get rid of the carpeting and put linoleum down anyway, but wondering about plywood flooring.
Linoleum will seal it, esp if you use clear caulk at the edges,
(after it is laid and settled in, for temperature purposes.
Sorta overkill maybe.) Then you'll want to add carpet for
insulation. This means padding. This insulates too.

Or - add 6 mil instead of linoleum. Then the padding &
carpet. between the 6-mil and padding, you can add some
1/8" foam, which is usually 4 or 6 ft wide.
Then snap-down
flooring, and a rug that roughly covers that. rugs? You
remember. We used them before wall-to-wall? You can
take them out and clean them? Not add moisture to the
floor & home?

BTW, an elec blanket is the cheapest way to stay warm
at night... via powered means. Now there's one you can
put under a rug.
The whole rug, or just under your feet,
in front of a couch & chairs.
