and, depending on the location of the controls for the dryer (which I would assume would be on top since it's the lightest of the two),
it may be a challenge to reach. Most of the controls I've seen for stacked units are located at the bottom or just to the right of the dryer door.

When you install any drier, make sure the vent dumps outside. I installed a stacked pair, and dumped the vent in the attic. All the moisture in the house is not acceptable.
