I spoke about knock-down texture to the man that is painting the walls, and he said it's applied with a spray machine, so I figure that's kind of out for the type of job he's doing. That's ok, and I really didn't want knockdown. I was happy when I checked a wallpaper site where they had a type of wallpaper, even textured, that you could apply on top of paste that you first apply to the wall. AND, better yet (although I can't imagine myself ever using it because I have no need to), you can remove the wallpaper easily from the wall. cool, huh? I actually DID my own texture job in another apartment, I liked it, but I'll probably wind up skimcoating it because I don't even know if I can paint over it, lol, and I don't think I want to finish the job. :-) Cindi
