This is not normal on EBAY. Are you a registered (w/ verified address and PayPal accnt.)user? That may have been the problem if not. I have been a seller and buyer on EBAY for 5 years and never known of such. The seller cannot select who bids except for requiring to meet his reserve price. Often the seller only accepts PayPal payments, though.
