I have already had to replace my countertop microwave-convection oven, even though I have surge protectors on all my electrical appliances - with the exception of the 220 stove. I recently purchased two separate surge protectors made by Tripp.Lite. 2160 Joules, integrated circuit breakers, "Grounded" LED, "Protected" LED, "Ultimate Lifetime Insurance". Just had yet another one of XCEL ENERGIES MULTITUDE of power outages. This one was quick and easy, not their usual "brown out" type. Still, it messed up all my appliances, even the ones I recently placed on the Tripp-Lite protectors. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO PURCHASE in order to protect my appliances from this so-call utility company?? I have lived in the real "boonies" in various locations over the years, but it wasn't until I moved to the western slope (along I-70 - not the real boonies) of Colorado and had to deal with XCEL ENERGY that I have had so many, many problems with all their outages. Probably 2/3 of the street lights and on-off ramp lights do not work from here to Glenwood Springs and who knows where!!? PLEASE HELP ME OVERCOME THESE INCOMPETENTS. They are raising their rates, again, but refuse to offer rebates or advise on surge protectors. THANKS!!!!
