I just can't imagine a good, neat way to keep it from falling out. The plate of this tripod just has a plain slot for the screw. I tried to get the screw out of one of my other tripods and just ended up breaking little plastic tabs holding the plastic pad onto the plate.... Couldn't even get the screw out. (how is it held in there?)
And it's not quick-release. I seem to have latched onto this because it's something I need to figure out. I figured out how to build a house, but I can't figure out how to put a new screw in a tripod....
