[DIY] Re: tripod screw...try these?

 

If I undertand the issue...hard to imagine without a pic...
But some screws I found are only threaded 1/2 way on their shaft.
The other part of the shaft is "plain". So when it is screwed
into a retainer plate, for example, the thread goes all the way
"in" then the screw sort of rattles around loose and seems
unable to be removed...

Thus, try lining up the screw and unthreading until it
catches on the plate threads and it should come out...
Wish I had a pic, I had a tripod like that and all three
retaining screws were held into the mounting plate
like that (tripod is for a telescope)..If I got the issue
wrong delete is just one click away! LOL
