Bill, Actually, the bulbs are (BUILT at/ rated at) Higher voltage, (maybe 130-150v) have larger wire elements, and when run at lower voltage (115-v), they run at less WATTS/ Less HEAT and are more "bump-resistant" because of the larger wire element; (then they LABEL "Rough-Service" at actual watts used for 115-v)
