if the posts are used, maybe the previous owner cut it off at ground level for some reason?

I decided this morning to find out how in the world I could have measured so incorrectly on that post.

It IS a very short post! The first post I pulled off the pile and measured was... for unknown reasons, very short.

The rest of the line post are the correct length.

For awhile I thought I must have lost all my marbles.

Thanks for your patience with this!
