Would there be any problem on dryer installation if the vent pipe went straight out as the quickest and shortest way to exhaust?
Is the length of exhaust pipe a means of *cooling* the heat and serves a purpose in the 3 to 4' length? It will allow us to put the body of the dryer closer to the back wall if we can just make the exhaust a straight-shot out the back. It would not be in a position to hurt anyone passing by.
