It appears MERV is a filter rating......FPR is a filter style.....I would use the
latter with the highest filtering rating.......I suggest you go to a big box store
for your purchase since you are not purchasing a specialty item.....You could
also consider an electrostatic filter, which is washable and reusable, if you
simply want to remove dust from the air......Pumps
