I noticed a product at the local hardware store that "restores" old wood decking. When I do a Google search with "wood deck restoration products" there are several products on the market. I've seen the sample in the store of old and restored side by side. It might be worth investigating. But if the wood is 20 years old and has minimal maintenance, you might be looking at issues with the supports as well as the surface. Don't forget to inspect the underside of the deck before investing in the surface treatment.
