I found a post recommending Liquid Nails for this problem. I think that's what we'll try tomorrow afternoon. Finish cleaning it all off today and let it dry. Anyone have a better thought?
We're finishing the bathrooms and at one corner, the top edge of the marble (fiberglass?) panel at the back of the tub is away from the wall. This is a normal jacuzzi tub, corner style with the marble panels around the two walls. We'd like to try and glue it to the wall before we add new silicone. We have the same problem along the top edge of the shower on the back wall, 1/8th - maybe 1/4". I don't want to use the shower till we do this as I don't want water getting behind the panels. There seemed to be a lot of silicone and it was peeling away in places so we removed it all in order to redo it. I assume the previous owners had just used large amount of silicone to fill in these areas. Haven't run across this problem before. We could get away with thick silicone in the shower but along the corner of the tub panel it's noticeable.
