We use wide painters tape, sometimes two layers to avoid chips with a circular saw and a wide black marker to make the cut line more visible. Would still probably have some sanding to do to make it fit perfect. Do you have enough to make a trial cut? My husband uses a recip saw when he can but if you don't have one that won't help.
