Re: [DIY] OT - Blenders

Thanks Ray, I could live with the looks, however, I really want one with a bigger container.  I have to process things in batches now and a pour spout would be wonderful.  But as you say - I want one that works.  You'd think Oster would redesign their container to make it easier to get the food out.  Another problem for me is I can't get the bottom off anymore, my right hand doesn't have the strength to twist it off to get the blades out.  Hubby has to open it every time.  Time to leave for the airport, fortunately it's Branson instead of Kansas City, I always dreaded that 3 hour drive each way.

Stick with the Oster. The new ones, just, don't compete. Otherwise, you might try the bullet. Small, but, might be better.

As far as I am concerned, looks don't overshadow fongtionality.

Have had an oster for over 20 years.  It still works but looks old and I'd like a new, preferably larger, one - but my absolute criteria is that it blend ice smoothly.  Not just crush it to snow cone consistency but blend it smooth as silk.  I don't like any crunchiness.
