I had a similar problem with a GE refrigerator and it was a little servo motor that opened a little door between the freezer and the refrigerator.

The freezer is cold, so it is probably not the charge or the compressor.

It happened to my parent's refrigerator, and it was the fan.
They sell such fans at Grainger. I happened to have one,
that I used in a small Solar air heater. The repair involved
removing some of the freezer interior panels, to get at the
fan. Once I got to the fan, the replacement was easy.
The fridge ran for another ten years. Cost....under $10
