Re: [DIY] Tubeless tire bead breaker

Make a 'ramp' up onto the tire with a 2X6. Drive up onto it with your car/truck.

Anybody got a way to break the bead on a tubeless tire?
I would like to save some Al wheels but not the tires. The shops around
here all want 10 dollars to remove the rubber. So I have 40 dollars to
spend on a tool that will do this. I have heard that you can jack up a car
and lower the car on to the side of the assy to accomplish this but I was
wondering what would happen if I made a big pair of pliers out of 2X4s. I
have enough weight to generate a lot of force if I made the 2X4s 3 or four
feet long.
