Re: [DIY] beckett oil burner

how old are the oil filter and nozzle? how old is your air filter and belt? checking your own belt and filter is fairly easy, checking the oil filter and nozzle may be better off left to a good technician. have you had this problem for awhile, or after last delivery of oil? if you are low on oil in the tank, you could be picking up sediment, stopping up the oil filter and nozzle. if it only cuts off when hot, it may be a problem in the pump, such as air leak in oil line under pressure.

Can anyone tell me why my Beckett burner would ignite correctly, bring the temp.
up to to the set level and then misfire until it goes into lock out? It's only
10 years old, flame looks good, no sputtering or anything during warmup, it just
starts flipping out when it should just shut off.
