I am still amazed that I still have and am using a garden hose I bought from Sears which is made of a blend of rubber and vinyl. I bought it in the 1970's. It has never been spliced or had the ends replaced. This proves we do not have to be a disposable society.

Every thing from a $1.99 Walmart special to an expensive "clean" hose that I used to have to hook my camper up to the water supply. I want to pitch the whole bunch and buy a couple good hoses that won't get stiff as a board when rolled up. Can anyone advise me as to what materials I should be looking for in a hose to get the service I need. I am on a private well and the water is freezing cold so it doesn't take much to stiffen them up.
