Jeanne: I have about 10 gas driven machines - From lawn mowers to chain saws. Here is what I do to all of them, every one - Even if they are gas/oil mix. I use premium (not ethanol premium mix but an all gasoline premium gasoline - you may have to ask the attendant) This is premium like you would put in a Cadillac automobile. I put "Stabil" fuel stabilizer in the gas can, at the recommended rate, first off, before I add the premium gas so it mixes well. That's it, that's all you have to do. My chain saw started right up after sitting for over two years with that mixture. I do not, under any circumstances use ethanol gasoline in any of my gas driven machines except my car. It's worked well for me for 30 years. Good Luck ... Ron
