RE: [DIY] Work light

I wonder if the concept of a plug-in work light is just totally passe', no matter what kind of bulb you put in it.  I haven't used one since I discovered the beauty of bright LED headlamps that sit in the center of my forehead.  They are adjustable, light weight, and run off of AAA batteries forever.  They can be used in spotlight mode or floodlight mode.  I also have a little LED spotlight that has 3 adjustable legs with magnets on the tips.  You can wrap the legs around a pipe or just use the magnets to stick to a nearby metal object.  I use the headlight most of the time, but the little 3 legged light comes in handy sometimes.  I cannot imagine going back to an old worklight.

broken and keep breaking and I do not throw them around or anything like that.
Is it worth fixing these and if not what type of light actually hold up?
Thanks

I can only say this. Companies depend on advertising claims.
I ALWAYS, get  alight, remove the bulbs for back-up,
and replace them with whatever is 100 w fewer.
I get a  250 - twin? I replace w/pairof 150's.

In an attic, I must work beside these. They get HOT!
Another error is stated, ~"do not point the window
glass, up." Maybe I get away with this as I use cooler
bulbs? I like old Hondas. They run cool. I STILL add oil
coolers to some of them. Mil Spec designers add a
co-efficient of safety, that is naught more than a cooling
exponent.

Has worked for me. Might try it. The light isn't so hot
if you bump against it, too! Cheap-fix!?! I likey...!
