>Sorry if this isn't appropriate for this list but I really don't know who to ask. Our son filled 2 5-gallon cans as well as the 2-gallon ones for use with the riding mower, push mower and our boats, however, we didn't use very much at all as we had the boats stored for next spring a lot earlier this year. So, do we add the stabilizer to each of the cans? I assume it will say in the instructions how much to use. Live in NE Illinois where it gets very cold so we want to do the right thing. Have never used stabilizer before and the mowers have had the gas run out of them. Will be using the gas next April. Neighbors suggested using it in the car but we don't really want to do that. Hope someone can help.
Thanks.

Good question...! First thing is safety!
(This is why water heaters are raised 18". Gas
fumes are heavy. We want any to leak out under
the garage door or low (<18") vents.) Still, do
this out of doors.
In the car is a good idea. But the cans can rust,
so you'd keep them full, or, once they are not,
use a lil gas mixed for 2 cycle use and roll it
around in the can.
Motorcycle folks use this for 30 days or a double
dose for 60-90 days. My climate doesn't freeze often,
and I use a single dose + a hair & seem to do ok.
If it gets really wet, there is now a Marine version
for boats. I think it is meant for 90-120 days.
StaBil I believe is the common brand. Google
search out there site. NeverMind -
This will show both, & I see they have one for
folks stuck with ethanol.
