Having lived in many parts of the country I've seen many things. I recall one family in Newburyport, Ma. who had a carpeted bathroom. Floor, walls, and ceiling, including the shower. To top it off they had bought only 1/2 of the house which was a large 3 storied colonial which had never been intended to be split so you can only imagine the plumbing and heating nightmare that ensued. This being less than a mile from the ocean, can't you just picture the mold problem they must have had later on?

I'm not sure what these people were thinking, but I'd like to hunt them down and make them undo it. It is not only in our master bathroom on all four walls, but it is in one of the bedrooms as well.
I appreciate all of the good suggestions!
