Does anyone know what can be used instead of the prescribed brand of "color preparer" to prepare a white shoe for spraying with a brand of color spray? Like I was thinking acetone or alcohol maybe. The purpose is to remove wax dirt and grease before spraying on color. It is for a small crack on the shoe and I didn't want to spend that much on it if not necessary. In fact I have never polished the shoe so maybe "preparer" is not even necessary.
Comments appreciated!
