[DIY] Re: temporary wall/room divider ideas?

Hi Vivian;

I agree with the suggestions to build actual walls, and place them
temporarily in the openings. If you own the house, you might screw
them in place. At the time when you are ready to remove them, you
are likely to need new paint anyway. So, do not be concerned by
a few little holes which can be patched with a simple swipe of a
spackle knife. For the opening into the dining room, you might
build a bookshelf to fit. Books and other things would help
the sound proofing. You might turn the hall opening into a
closet, though you might want that to be your doorway. I am
assuming that you have a very good reason for the living room
(front door?) being the room that you want to make into your
bedroom, instead of using the dining room, which in general
would seem to be a better candidate.
