Re: [DIY] problem with wallpaper

Most likely you will be able to smooth the wrinkles out when the paper is wet and you are hanging it.  If it's prepasted you'll soak it first so that should take care of the problem, a seam roller or sponge should take care of any remaining dents.  If you add the paste to the paper, you may need to dampen the problem areas first and letting it soak in and let it book the full time.  You have less leeway with pasting the wall, and it dries faster.  If your paper is heavier I think you'll have better luck going the usual route - depending on what the instructions call for.  If you are pasting the paper, use a clean roller to apply the paste - it's goes faster and is less messy.  If you have enough cut a strip with a dent and test several methods.

I got a few rolls of wallpaper, no refund. They weren't too expensive, but I'd like to use them. The problem is they have folds, or dents, and when I unrolled it, the dents (like a paper fold) cannot be smoothed down by hand. I just tried, I didn't hang it yet but I don't know about wallpaper. Can somehow it be smoothed out or am I ruined?
