Hi all,

While I am new to this group, I have been a do-it-yourselfer all my life. After remodeling a rundown hundred-year-old house in New York, I moved to Tennessee to build my own home. My wife and I designed and built our Earth sheltered passive solar home in the mid-80s. We have since added several solar hot water systems, and recently grid tied solar electricity. I am currently working on a solar water heater for the hot tub. With my background as an auto tech, and air-conditioning and refrigeration tech, I do nearly all my own repairs and construction. I enjoy welding, and just finished two farm gates. My wife and I also do stained-glass work, have a greenhouse business, and raise grass fed beef.
