[DIY] Eaves

 

I am rebuilding the eaves on part of my house. They were done wrong, and I have rotten wood to replace. I am going to use a 2x6 for a sub fascia board, it will be covered with vinyl or aluminum in the near future. Does the 2x6 go under the roof sheathing, or does it go next to it. A little lower to prevent it from being higher then the sheathing. I will then cover with drip edge, ice/water shield, and shingles.
