Freezing can be caused by 1) dirty filter (low airflow on inside cooling coil); 2) thermostat set too low at night (below 70'f), 3) blower fan motor running slow/ not starting properly, 4) several other technical issues ACTIONS: 1) Change FILTER; 2) Set thermostat HEAT/OFF/ COOL switch to OFF (or turn setting up to 85); turn Fan AUTO/ RUN (On) to RUN and allow to run for 1-2 hrs to defrost. After timeout, reset to COOL and 72-78-deg. and you may/ may not have trouble. If you do, call serviceman.
