I have a small Samsung flat panel TV that has an a/c adapter in the cord. Someone online said they "just" cut the cord and wired theirs to a lighter-socket plug and it works fine. I really don't understand these things, so I don't know if this is one of those instances where that person is so familiar with electronics that there were a lot of extra steps in there that they didn't think it worth mentioning... Or is it that simple?
