I would like to see the L you mentioned built as well. In addition, even continue around to create a U kitchen so as to separate the "kitchen wall" from the living space. If there is not enough space, maybe just a 1/2 wall with a bar counter top. You could have stools at it and use it as an eating space. P.S., I love the bold purple color.
