It invites overload of the hitch and the vehicle. There is a reason for the limitations of the smaller hitch. I would be afraid of a mechanical failure in which case the owner is fully liable. There was a very recent case in which a ball hitch failed resulting in several injuries and fatalities, the driver is in very hot water as a result.
Is there a better one or is the whole concept bad news?
