As with all things, they have their limitations. The little Power Pal which we have had for nearly 30 years was tank-less but handy for inflating tires and operating small pin nailers which used the hose for volume.
To seat a tire that is loose on the rim, give it a shot or two of ether at the bead and throw a lit match at the tire. Seating is instantaneous but stand back so that the flash back does not burn you. I've seen truck and tractor tires seated in this manner.

I have a similar compressor (American brand). It is far better than the little $40 ones w/o a storage tank. You know, the ones you carry around in your car and are rechargeable or 12 volt. The only issue is that this pancake one has very little volume. They will build up good pressure, however. I use mine to fill, with a lot of patience, a portable air tank in order to get good volume like you need if a tire is totally flat to the point of being loose on the rim.
