I have a freestanding fireplace and bought paint for a bbq grill that withstands high temps great- Bought it at Wally world in a spray can- should work well for a radiator.

Yes, there is a paint made for hot surfaces, don't remember the name right now but we've used it to paint wood stoves. In fact that may be what it's called, stove paint. I'm not sure about radiators but worth a look.On Oct 27, 2011, at 5:55 PM, elfortzie wrote:
We have an old building with oil heat and painted radiators. The paint is coming off the radiators in large flakes down to bare metal. How should these get repainted and with what kind of paint. Is there a special paint for surfaces that heat up?
