As a matter of fact, i think I"ll contact Kilz and ask them about using latex over the oil base, especially if I think it will give better coverage.

We've always used SW latex interior paint over the oil-base kilz primer. Never a problem. It cleans up with soap and water. I've also used a cheap, interior latex ceiling paint over the kilz when I had water stains in the shop, plus the painting contractor who did the repairs here a couple of years ago used the oil-base Kilz to cover the water stains, once the roof was repaired, and an acrylic ceiling paint to paint the ceilings in the entire house.
